Sep 9, 2024, 7:53 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Sonic Frontiers Decided to go with posting about this after seeing that there just doesn't seem to be any easter eggs and references that could get accepted which haven't already.
Sep 5, 2024, 9:08 PM StarySnowz Game: Pokémon Gold Version This means that Ruby and Sapphire might be the reboots of Pokémon
Aug 29, 2024, 5:28 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Sonic R The Thunder and Flame Shields have actually had quite different functions in games that have them both, so I don't see how that could be a reason to leave one of them out of Sonic R, unless it's to do with the colour of the Thunder Shield in that game, which be a reddish orange as opposed to I think blue or white.
Aug 27, 2024, 11:37 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Sonic Heroes Some of these early team ideas don't really add up, since Rouge and Cream are both flyers, and why would Metal Sonic partner with good guys? And didn't Gamma end up dying in Sonic Adventure?
Aug 26, 2024, 1:53 PM * CuriousUserX90 Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Despite what the Iwata Asks interview had to say, I don't think Super Mario Galaxy 2 was the first time Kazumi Totaka did new lines for Yoshi for the first time since he first voiced him, since there are Mario spinoffs throughout the 2000s where Yoshi has lines not used in Yoshi's Story, not to mention Super Mario Sunshine which has a different then usual clip used for flutter jumping and a clip used for spraying juice.
Aug 26, 2024, 6:58 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Super Mario Sunshine So it seems as though from SMG2 onwards, it says the same thing when losing a life in all parts of the world, since the Cutting Room Floor pages for said 3D Games from SMG onwards don't mention such a regional difference.
Aug 18, 2024, 12:10 AM PikaPhantom Collection: WarioWare There is a third category of studio represented in WarioWare games: defunct ones/ones that had the rights for their games seemingly revert to Nintendo. Move It! has a Mario Pinball Land microgame, which was developed by the now-defunct Fuse Games, as well as a Wii Play Motion microgame based on Pose Mii Plus, a subgame developed by Skip Ltd. The Donkey Kong Country microgame in Gold would count for the latter, as Rare is still around, but doesn't really actively work with Nintendo anymore because they're owned by Microsoft.

As an aside, I do wonder if we'll see more microgames derived from Nintendo subsidiaries in the future. Retro Studios is the only one to get any so far, I believe, but there's definitely room for NST, Monolith Soft, Next Level Games, and maybe Brownie Brown's old games to get microgames.
Aug 15, 2024, 9:14 PM Rocko & Heffer Collection: Mario Party "Unique" is being used in this context to mean "not reused from within the same game" - so returning boards, like those in Superstars, are considered unique.
Aug 14, 2024, 10:17 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Mario Kart 64 Uncertain it is on if how Nintendo America found the Broken English voices is why they were changed, but it's strange how the developers did not know about Leslie Swan's involvement in Super Mario 64 as Peach when localised, and that it was always the plan for Charles Martinet to do both Mario and Luigi, since he actually did Luigi's voice way before Mario Kart 64 released anywhere in the world. One thing's for certain though that it would've always been the plan for Mario characters to speak English in all parts of the world, but hiring non-English speaking voice actors for half of the characters in Mario Kart 64?
Aug 14, 2024, 9:58 AM CuriousUserX90 Collection: Mario Party I am under the impression that there could be another board not yet revealed for Super Mario Party Jamboree that's from Mario Party 3, so we could be in for a game with the same amount of boards as the first Mario Party game.
Aug 14, 2024, 2:14 AM Shockwave Collection: Mario Party you have assets from previous games to reuse to save time & money so idk why any game could beat the original Mario Party on unique boards
Aug 13, 2024, 6:02 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate If it's true that even Captain Falcon's voice clips have been the same since the original, then I guess there'll still be a character like that come the next Smash Bros. game for Nintendo's next system after all. This I say following the news of Jigglypuff's VA's recent passing.
Aug 13, 2024, 5:58 AM * CuriousUserX90 Game: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Thanks to whoever got this submission of mine also displayed on the page for the game's Switch page after the revision I made to it got approved. Even the Wii Remove easter egg of Donkey Kong Country Returns was still featured in the 3DS port believe it or not, but there's no submission on that at the moment.
Aug 8, 2024, 5:49 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Disney Infinity Oddly enough the game does still have characters who are both playable and bosses, as explained by those who replied to the tweeted source: https://twitter.com/Justin22728306/status/655826054062448641
Aug 5, 2024, 6:52 PM ILoveMaMum Game: New Super Mario Bros. Wii this is so sick!!
Aug 5, 2024, 2:12 PM ILoveMaMum Game: Yeah! You Want "Those Games", Right? So Here You Go! Now, Let's See You Clear Them! Dude really submitted surface-level iceberg trivia you can mostly find out by reading the Steam product description
Jul 31, 2024, 5:49 AM CuriousUserX90 Collection: Mario & Sonic Now that there's been confirmation that these crossovers at the Olympics are no more, we must hope that there can be another sort of crossover for Mario & Sonic one of these years outside the Olympics: https://www.eurogamer.net/olympics-ditched-mario-sonic-series-to-explore-nfts-and-esports

To be honest I think these Crossovers at the Olympics should've stopped after Rio 2016, since there was no PyeongChang 2018 game for Mario & Sonic.
Jul 25, 2024, 4:32 PM Rocko & Heffer Game: Shadow the Hedgehog "Nermies get out" - Shadow the Hedgehog, probably.
Jul 19, 2024, 4:41 PM Rocko & Heffer Game: Star Fox 2 Since Argonaut is British, I wonder if Fay's last name is taken from Clive Sinclair.
Jul 2, 2024, 11:05 AM MehDeletingLater Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate This has been added to the submission, thank you.
Jul 2, 2024, 6:40 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Shame that he'd leave the role just under half a decade afterwards such an accomplishment, going against his word to voice the 4 Italian Plumbers until dropping dead: https://www.vgfacts.com/game/supermariobroswonder/trivia-15877/

But of course whether or not it was his decision and how the idea of Mario Ambassador came to be is still yet to be confirmed. Good luck either way to Kevin Afghani accomplishing such a thing within the next 50 years from now.
Jul 2, 2024, 6:34 AM VinchVolt Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Should probably mention that, as mentioned in the source, this voice credit is what got Martinet the Guinness World Record for "most videogame voiceover performances as the same character." To supplement that, the official page for the record on Guinness' site is https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/539489-most-videogame-voiceover-performances-as-the-same-character
Jun 28, 2024, 4:47 PM MehDeletingLater Game: Bubsy in: the Purrfect Collection This submission was originally rejected days ago and resubmitted today. It's on the front page right now, but it's not at the top of the page due to it having a lower ID number than the approved submissions published after it (you can see this number in any submission's permalink URL).
Jun 28, 2024, 2:33 PM CuriousUserX90 Game: Bubsy in: the Purrfect Collection This submission does not seem to be on the page that displays the latest trivia submitted, even though it was approved today.
Jun 27, 2024, 11:31 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Donkey Kong Jr. technically is still there since the modern Donkey Kong is Donkey Kong Jr. as an adult, as explained by many things since the release of Donkey Kong Country such as Donkey Kong Jr. not being in Mario Kart: Double Dash and the default character lineup in Mario Kart 7, but it's still debatable to this day on if they are or aren't the same person. Really it would've made no sense for DK's partner to not be Diddy or any other Kong.
Jun 27, 2024, 11:02 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Pretty sure Boo has been playable in Mario Tennis games before though.
Jun 24, 2024, 1:00 PM CuriousUserX90 Game: Super Mario Bros. 2 These Phantos can be defeated without a stop watch in the Super Mario Advance remake, right now though I can't find any videos that show off this change.
Jun 24, 2024, 12:41 PM CuriousUserX90 Game: Mario Party 10 As way know this method with the vehicle wouldn't last, and the series returned to going round in circles on the boards afterwards.
Jun 23, 2024, 12:53 PM CuriousUserX90 Game: Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity Nowhere else on the internet seems to mention anything about an unreleased Xbox 360 version, so much so that they won't accept Xbox 360 as one of the platforms on IGDB. This wouldn't be the only submission with the Cancelled Release tag that this applies to, for instance with the submission about one of the SoulCalibur games: https://www.vgfacts.com/game/soulcalibur/trivia-2371/
Jun 22, 2024, 2:06 PM CuriousUserX90 Game: Sonic Rivals Impressive as well I should add for the audio attachment having been gotten hold of from somewhere, usually I can only find that stuff if they're at places which offer audio pieces like the Cutting Room Floor and Sound Effects wikis.
Jun 22, 2024, 2:05 PM CuriousUserX90 Game: Sonic Rivals Thanks as usual for approving this submission, I found best to go with since nowhere on the internet has a PDF for the concept art book. Good thing either way that a video showing off evidence that the rival select theme went unused was found, basically it needed to be something that showed off challenge mode as only there you can choose your rival.
Jun 22, 2024, 8:40 AM DidYouKnowGaming Game: Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II Good shout. I've updated the trivia.
Jun 16, 2024, 8:43 PM Regen-33 Game: Pokémon Red Version Planning on running this team in Leaf Green at some point.
Jun 16, 2024, 12:12 PM CuriousUserX90 Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate If Sonic wasn't able to swim, his games never would've had underwater areas in any of the levels.
Jun 14, 2024, 4:53 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Many thanks for able to approve this after previous failed attempts with posting something something for the Zelda series whole. Thanks as well as well as usual for the additional info.
Jun 10, 2024, 8:59 AM Shockwave Game: MultiVersus I'll admit I overthought that in an effort to be funny in the technicality that someone else took over DC's films
Jun 10, 2024, 7:03 AM MehDeletingLater Game: MultiVersus From what I understand he was basically pushing for Black Adam to be on the same stage as Superman instead of just being a Shazam villain, but I doubt he had a direct impact on the DC films getting rebooted. Superhero universe movies like these are greenlit years in advance, and not only had they been struggling to sell tickets since the COVID-19 pandemic, but Warner Bros. went through another merger so their priorities changed as they restructured their studios. I imagine they were already negotiating with James Gunn and Peter Safran before the release of this film and when they got hired they decided to start from scratch.
Jun 10, 2024, 5:15 AM Shockwave Game: MultiVersus he did change the hierarchy, right? Be rebooting the entire DCEU?
Jun 8, 2024, 5:38 AM MehDeletingLater Game: Shadow the Hedgehog Diddy Kong Racing isn't the E-rated game I'm talking about. The first Conker game was Conker's Pocket Tales in 1999 for the Game Boy Color which was rated E. The 2010s games Conker was in were that Project Spark campaign and that HoloLens Young Conker game which were both rated T. I brought that up because Conker is an example of a series that started with an E-rating and later got M-rated games, which disproves your first claim.

Those other decisions about Shadow the Hedgehog were not made at the same time, but at separate points in 2005. The previous cast members were not informed they were being replaced by the Sonic X cast until September at the latest. Sonic's previous voice actor Ryan Drummond claimed he was never asked about the replacement and was only informed until after it went into effect, which means Sega was already recording voice lines with the Sonic X cast for the game and Drummond most likely was not asked to record anything if they didn't ask him about the replacement. Since we do know that Sega decided to censor the script to aim for the E10+ rating after it was introduced in March, the Sonic X cast recording for the game had to have started before the rating was introduced for the unused Shadow swearing takes to happen.

https://web.archive.org/web/20151121064154/http://www.sonicstadium.org/2005/09/sonic-voiceover-cast-replaced/
Jun 8, 2024, 4:20 AM CuriousUserX90 Game: Shadow the Hedgehog Of course Conker the way he was supposed to've been in Conker's Twelve Tales lives on in Diddy Kong Racing, had no idea he was in any E rated games of the 2010s with how he ended up being. And I could've sworn that the decision for Shadow the Hedgehog to be E10+ was made at the same time the decision to use the 4Kids voice actors in the games was made, both in 2005 when that said ESRB rating was introduced.
