In the mission "Waste the Wife", Tommy is hired by Mr. Black to kill his employer's wife, Mrs. Dawson. This is a reference to the 1985 film Commando, as Tommy attempts to crash Mrs. Dawson's car the same way Matrix (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) attempts to crash Sully's (played by David Patrick Kelly) car in the movie. Both feature the same yellow car, as well as Mrs. Dawson whining in fear, just as Cindy (played by Rae Dawn Chong) does in the movie.

Attachment The Clovers in the game are references to Clover Studio, the games developer, and when collected play a similar sound to their opening title.

Since Clover Studio is now defunct, this may explained why the Clovers don't appear in Okamiden, but instead were replaced with Dandelions.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
1
Attachment Once Shantae enters the "Tan Line Temple", the servants of the temple mistake her for the long-lost princess and dress her in skimpy royal garb (which is itself a variant of her belly dancer attire). Later, She comments that she's "dressed like a space princess". This is a reference to Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and the costume Leia wears after being captured by Jabba the Hutt.

Episode 1, Mission 4 (Command Control) changed between different versions of the game. In the initial release version (1.0), the map contained a Swastika-shaped arrangement of computers, in a reference to Wolfenstein 3D, an earlier id Software game. Attachment The game features posters of a superhero named "Phoenix Jones", an actual MMA fighter and "real life superhero" who fights crime in the city of Seattle with the help of his wife "Purple Reign". From 2011 until its dissolution in 2014, Jones was the leader of the Rain City Superhero Movement, a Seattle, Washington-based citizen patrol group that described itself as a crime prevention brigade.

In game, Phoenix Jones is portrayed as a conduit captured by the "D.U.P.", with posters around the city reading "Free Phoenix Jones". Phoenix Jones also ran a contest to give away a free copy of the game through his Twitter and Facebook accounts.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven
1
The DHA for Mista and Giorno seems to be a reference the White Album fight, particulary the way that Giorno appears from behind and jumps high into the air until he is directly above the opponent, then stomping down on them several times with Gold Experience, as well as the quotes "Resolution isn't all about sacrifice" from Giorno and "My true resolve begins here!" from Mista. The firing pose from Mista (which originates from the same fight), however, was used for Narancia's/Mista's DHA instead.

Besides being based on Part 3 (Stardust Crusaders), this is the first game to have elements from more than one JoJo saga:

• Part 1: Wang Chan as Shadow Dio's "child" form during Alessi's stand ability, a shot of the Stone Mask appears when a character is stand crashed, and both versions of Dio have Space Ripper Stingy Eyes as a special move.
• Part 2: Young Joseph is a playable character, Caesar appears in the Young Joseph's special move that contains several manga panel flashbacks as well as Lisa Lisa doing the same for Old Joseph's version, the Red Stone of Aja is used as one of Young Joseph's supers and the crossbow he used against Wamuu, as well as the coke bottle during his introduction scene, appears in his moveset.
• Part 4: The arrow appears during Polnareff "Requiem" super, one of Jotaro's alternate color scheme recolours his coat, hat and pants white, much like his Part 4 outfit and in one of Dio's alternate color scheme, The World is pink and blue giving it an appearance similar to Crazy Diamond.
• Part 5: Silver Chariot Requiem appears as a super combo for Polnareff and one of his win quotes translates to "We'll meet again in the future...in Italy".
