Attachment Southwest of Winterhold, in Bleakcoast Cave, there is a part of the cave guarded by frost trolls where you will find parts of a skeleton hanging from the icy ceiling. On the ground below it is a Steel Greatsword of Weariness. This is a reference to Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in which there is a scene where Luke Skywalker is stuck to the ceiling of an icy wampa cave and must use the Force to retrieve his lightsaber to cut himself free.

After obtaining a gold medal on all levels, Expert mode will be unlocked. In Expert mode, Fox wears his father James McCloud's glasses.
Doom II: Hell on Earth

Attachment In the Doom II final level "Icon of Sin", the boss is supposed to be a giant demon head with a fragment missing from its forehead. It says, "To win the game, you must kill me, John Romero!", distorted and in reverse to sound like a demonic chant. One can use the "noclip" cheat to enter the boss and see Romero's severed head which is skewered on a post. John Romero is the creator of the Doom series. The staff didn't like Romero due to his egotistical personality. They decided to get him back by making him the final boss.
Animal Crossing: City Folk

Attachment In the City, there are two traffic cones on the far right side. On some nights, after 8 o'clock, one of the cones can be moved and the Reset Surveillance Center can be accessed. There, Mr. Resetti can be found in his whole body. He bribes the player with a silver shovel and says not to tell anyone. This explains why he knows when you haven't saved.

In the Japanese version of Saria Town, one of the graves in the town reads "The Hero Loto rests here." This is a reference to the Dragon Quest hero.

The first Final Fantasy game had a similar grave in the town of Elfheim. The grave reads "Here Lies Link".

There are two treasures that reference Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. The Lutrela Nivadensis, found in "The Clan of the Cave Raccoon," is Daxter in a caveman outfit. Medieval Metal Man, found in "Of Mice and Mechs," is Clank with Knight armor on.

In one of Ratman's rooms is a radio blaring strange noises. This "noise" is actually a SSTV signal. If you decode it, it will show an image from the end of the game.

Attachment In the expansion pack "The Sims: House Party", if you throw a cool enough party, Drew Carey will arrive in a limo to congratulate you and hang out.

Drew Carey was a fan of the Sims and also parodied them in an episode of "The Drew Carey Show".
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

The Sages in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time are named after the towns in this game (in Zelda chronology however, the towns were named after the Sages).

These towns are Rauru, Ruto, Saria, Mido, Nabooru, and Darunia. However, Mido is not a sage.

Attachment The enemy Fracktail makes a reference to Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. When Dimentio causes Fracktail to short circuit, he says "I am Error", one of the NPCs in Mido Town.

Attachment In the X-Naut Fortress there is a changing room. If you drop into the room from the vent above, both you and your partners will turn into 8-bit sprites, with the original Super Mario Bros music playing in the background. You can turn back to normal by exiting the room.
