When examining the bookcase in Hawke's mansion, Hawke will mention that Varric recommended the book "The Pursuit of Knowledge" by Brother Genitivi. Brother Genitivi was a character in Dragon Age: Origins. He was a Chantry scholar who had spent his life studying the Sacred Urn which is said to hold Andraste's ashes. After meeting and saving Brother Genitivi in the Haven Chantry, the player could either decide to have him travel with you through the mountains outside the Village of Haven to find the ashes, which were needed to heal the Arl of Redcliffe, or to send him back to Denerim.

While working the "Silk Stocking Case" after Phelps makes homicide, you are able to search a trash can close to the crime scene, where you will find a cowboy hat. It has been speculated that the hat is meant to represent John Marston's hat from Red Dead Redemption, another game made by Rockstar.

After defeating Gilgamesh, his dying word before disappearing is "...Bartz..." This confuses the party, who wonder who Bartz is. This is a reference to Bartz Klauser from Final Fantasy V.

The achievement name "Paradise Found" is a parody of the 17th Century poem "Paradise Lost" by John Milton. When Sonic achieves a Good Future in any of the zones (via destroying the Metal Sonic projectors and roboticizers), he is essentially "founding" a paradise for the future of that zone.

Scattered all over Arkham City are newspaper clippings with the headline "Criminal Couple Gunned Down" and a smaller heading on the left that says "Boy Watches as Parents Die!". These are clear references to Prometheus, one of the famous villains in the DC universe, and a dark reflection of Batman.
Also, inside the old Gotham City Police Department building it's possible to find an Arkham Medical Examination Record for Prometheus, which states he "passed" and has been released on November 12th, 1982.

If the player calls up Para-Medic, she will start talking about how popular Yoshi has gotten in the Soviet Union. This is strange as the game takes place in the 1960's, at lest 20 years before Super Mario World was released.

When they beat her, she will start talking about her sister Elizabeth, from Persona 3, and the boy she "took a fancy to," which is the protagonist of said game. She will also mention why Elizabeth left the Velvet Room. Spoiler:She wants to rescue the protagonist from the seal of Nyx.
