Though unknown who the culprit was, it was decided by Limited Run Games from December, 2017, that they would cease hiring temporary contract workers.

Todd Rogers had held the record since 1982 with a completion time of 5.51 seconds which he submitted to Activision’s official fan newsletter, which was also later recognized by the Guinness World Records. Despite even having support from Activision's founder David Crane over its legitimacy, Rogers was stripped of his record in 2018, as well as his records for other games, as it was determined with evidence that the only possible legitimate fastest record to get in the game was 5.57 seconds.

This game was the first M rated game published by EA. According to American McGee, he fought for the rating because he didn't want parents to buy the game thinking it was for children.

In retrospect, McGee stated he regretted fighting for such a high rating, believing the game wasn't violent enough to warrant it.

At Spaceworld 2000, it was announced that a version of the Gamecube Memory Card that would have expandable memory via an SD card would be released. However, this never came to fruition.

A similar device that allowed for the plugging in of an SD card into memory card slot was released alongside Dobutsu no Mori e+ in Japan, however this was only to take screenshots and did not allow for the saving of game data.

Valley had been a volunteer Santa Claus for over 25 years, who prior to Phalanx appeared as a Santa on the cover of the Christmas album "Christmas in the Northwest". He had also owned his own successful construction company for over 20 years. Valley had passed away in 2004.

The name means "privileged birth", which correlates directly with his parents being high-ranking members of the Illuminati, as well as his entitled attitude and wish to rule with utter supremacy.

Attachment BioWare held a competition for two people to be chosen to each provide voice work for a minor character in the game. Out of over 16,000 entrants, the two entrants who were chosen were Cari Scholtens and Kyle Land.

For video game magazine Game Informer's issue featuring their review for Chrono Trigger, they were planning to include a full cover spread featuring exclusive custom Chrono Trigger artwork by the game's artist, Akira Toriyama. Despite the game's publisher, Square Enix, agreeing on it, a week before it was to be made they informed Game Informer that Toriyama had decided not to do it in fear that due to his drawings being worth a lot they will most likely be sold on the black market. Lunar: The Silver Star was featured on Game Informer's cover instead.

Attachment Audio company Focal, together with French jeweler Tournaire, produced a set of 18-carat Bluetooth gold headphones selling at €50,000 to tie-in with the game's release. Called the Assassin's Creed Origins Utopia headphones and based on Focal's Assassin's Creed Origins Listen Wireless headphones, the set features Egyptian iconography with only 10 produced in total. The headphones were sold exclusively by Tournaire at their Paris boutique and also come displayed with a bronze bust of Bayek, the gam's protagonist.

As a way of preventing the use of a cheat device like Game Genie, additional code was put in place to detect one. If the system discovers any sort of leftover data in its RAM and VRAM, the game will lock-up and display a gray screen. This was done due to the game being released as part of a contest run by MTV.
